Acetonitrile for industrial use is a product made from acetonitrile wastewater from acrylonitrile plant by fractional distillation and refining. Acetonitrile is a colorless transparent liquid, which is easily volatilized and has a similar ether odor. It has excellent solvent properties and can dissolve many organic, inorganic and gaseous substances. It has certain toxicity, infinitely soluble with water and alcohol, can produce typical nitrile reactions, and is used to prepare many typical nitrogenous compounds. It is an important organic intermediate.

Product use

Acetonitrile can be used as a solvent for the synthesis of vitamin A, cortisone, carboamine drugs and their intermediates, and also as an active medium solvent for the production of vitamin B1 and amino acids. It can replace chlorinated solvents. It is also used in vinyl coatings, fatty acid extractants, alcohol denaturants, butadiene extractants and solvents for acrylonitrile synthetic fibers. It is also widely used in fabric dyeing, lighting industry, perfume manufacturing and photosensitive materials manufacturing.
