Operating instructions

1.The optical switch module has the output fiber bundle, the fiber diameter is phi 0.9mm, the input fiber (public fiber) is marked with 0, and the output fiber is labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively, indicating 4 corresponding output fiber.

2.The control port of the optical switch module is DB9 pin interface, the module is equipped with serial line, and the end of the serial line is inserted into the module, and the other end is connected to the computer.

3.The two wires at one end of the serial line access module are the power lines, of which:

  Red anode, 5V dc power supply; Blue negative pole.

  Please do not connect the wrong power source to the anode, otherwise you will burn the wide-open optical module!

Definition of each pin of the module, see table 1;

4.Connect the power cord, the module is in reset state after power, and all circuits of reset state are closed;

5.Control method:

Connect the RS - 232 communication line:

  The pin rs-232 serial port is defined as:2 pin for data receiver SIN, 3 pin for data transmitter SOUT, 5 pin for GND.

Serial port setup:

  9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bits, no parity.

Control command:

  When the computer sends out the hexadecimal 01 02...04 command, the module receives the control command and switches to the corresponding channel (01 for 1 channel, 02 for 2 channel...04 for 4 channel); And so on;

  When the computer sends the hexadecimal FF command, the module is reset;

  When the module receives other characters, the module returns the corresponding hexadecimal value of the current channel number of 00 01 02 03 04 to the computer (00 indicates that the optical switch is in reset state;

6.When the module is switching the optical channel, it is normal to have a slight vibration or sound;

7.Switching between optical signal requires a certain amount of time, and proper time should be set between the control commands that are sent continuously;

8.The control command should not be sent out as a string so as not to cause the wrong operation;

9.The optical switch module remains in the original channel after the switch module loses power, but the insertion loss may change.

 

Notice

1.Before use, please clean with alcohol cotton fiber connector end, please bring your dust cap when not in use, to prevent dust pollution or damage to the fiber end face or other stolen goods Damage to or contamination of the optical fiber end face will affect the performance of the optical switch module.

2.It is strictly forbidden to pull and twist the fiber, so as not to cause the fiber damage.

3.Please refer to table 1 and picture 2 for the detailed pin definition and module installation of the control interface. Make sure that the attachment is correct and then connect to power supply.

4.The control line is forbidden to hot swapping.

5.When the optical switch module has optical signal input, do not look directly into the optical fiber terminal laser radiation is not visible, but can cause harm to the human eye.

6.The device should be protected against shock, and avoid storage and work in excessive humidity.

7.The device is a precision optical device. It shall not be removed without authorization to avoid damage.

8.The products shall be used in the prescribed conditions and shall not pollute the land of the atmosphere. The packaging shall not contain hazardous waste, which may be disposed of by users themselves.

9.The replacement parts of the products shall be brought back by the maintenance personnel of my unit to dispose of the products in accordance with the provisions and shall be disposed of by the user according to the environmental regulations.
