Communication Between Modbus-RTU and Profibus-DP Gateway hotel automation system

 ODOT-DPM01 is a solution that provides a communication between Modbus-RTU and Profibus-DP protocols. Any Modbus-RTU devices, as long as it has RS485 interface, can connect to field bus Profibus-DP. Such as PLC, DCS, Distributed IO, frequency changer, motor protection devices, intelligent high and low voltage electrical equipment, electrical measuring devices, intelligent field measurement equipment and instrumentation.

3.Hardware wiring

1)Adopting pull out plug type screw terminal connection. Bottom of the module is 24V supply power and RS485 terminal(A+,B-), In front of the module there are status indicator, PROFIBUS-DP address DIP switch (m-16) and PROFIBUS-DP interface.

2)If high bits of Profibus-DP address set to 1 and low bits of Profibus-DP address set to 6,the address of this module in DP network:1*16+6=22,valid range of DP address:1-125.

3)Under normal conditions, ODOT-DPM01 Gateway status LED:

 PW:Power is supplied to the unit.

 DP:DP status,OFF- DP communications properly,Flashing-Not normal.

 TX:Flashing-Sending status of the RS485 interface.

 RX:Flashing-received status of the RS485 interface.
